    Electrolyte Protocol for Improved Health

Here is some good information on interpreting your results Hair test interpretation and mineral ratios According to that you would be a fast oxidizer. There is a section of the forum for posting lab results. You might get more help by creating a new thread there dedicated to your own information.

    Electrolyte Protocol for Improved Health

Yes, I tried the "magnesium oil". I'm too impatient to wait for it to dry lol. I prefer the cream - it just seems easier to rub it in and be done. It also seems less drying than the "oil" because it's in the lotion base. My skin can handle the same concentration of Mg better in the lotion. I...

    Electrolyte Protocol for Improved Health

I added 3 tsp MgCl powder to a little tub (50ml) of body butter as an experiment for topical use. I rub some on before bed, alternating different areas of my body each day. It makes me feel very drowsy after about 15 min or so. A word of warning though: it can sting if you have cuts, so avoid...

    Electrolyte Protocol for Improved Health

Quote from first post in thread: Based on this statement, it would suggest that you believe in hormone replacement for menopause since the ovaries are no longer functioning. I'm curious if that's the case?

ZINC FINGER THEORY DISCUSSION for PFS - 2 cases

Yes, it seemed to slow down my digestion/bowel movements. I mention it in my thread here: A little help with labs? I backed off on the HCL and then @gbolduev confirmed that I shouldn't be taking too much since I have 4 lows on hair test. I think I read that HCL can mess with potassium? I'm not...

    Thyroid, Reverse T3 & PFS

Last time I checked it was the lower end of normal. Admittedly, it's been a while since I last tested. I was under the impression that you can't have abnormally high Rt3 with good t3 levels simultaneously because the t4 is converted into one or the other.

    Thyroid, Reverse T3 & PFS

This happens to me if I take progesterone at night, and I do have both low cortisol and low progesterone (I'm not currently taking progesterone). But my thyroid levels don't perform as @gbolduev describes for someone with low cortisol. I actually have fairly good t4 to t3 conversion.

    A little help with labs?

Thanks for the input. I've been doing some of the things you mentioned and will make some adjustments. I've only been able to tolerate 3 HCL capsules at the most, so I will lower as you suggest. Makes sense. Not sure what's up with my thyroid. But I've been unknowingly treating my body like...

    A little help with labs?

Well, I hadn't planned on taking it long term; I kept thinking my thyroid would kick in and set it all to rights. And maybe it would have if I wasn't so deficient in other things. I used the cascara in a way that (I think) was mild to my system. I would open a capsule and stir the contents in a...

    A little help with labs?

Thanks for reminding me @Canari . I've been meaning to update. Life got in the way for a bit, in a good way. But things have quieted down now. I appreciate your input @mattyb You've hit the nail on the head. Based on recent blood labs and my hair test, I've been taking a hard look at...

    Raincoast Log (PFS/CFS) *Recovery*

I am also 4 lows on hair test, though they have me labeled as fast oxidizer. I've read that can change once you recover from 4 lows, so I could end up as slow oxidizer on re-test. I don't really have anything to contribute as I'm a newbie to hair analysis other than to say that my protocol is...

    A little help with labs?

Gbolduev advised me to take HCL as a way to restore the function of 450scc enzyme which converts cholesterol to pregnenolone. I had asked him what to do for low hormones. He didn't know about my hair labs since I just got them today. At the time, I thought low hormones were the issue, but I...

    A little help with labs?

Thanks for the magnesium recommendations. Magnesium chloride sounds interesting. I drink very little plain water. I also seldom feel thirsty. I've been taking a gram or so of taurine for quite some time. 2000 iU D3, B-complex, 100mg selenium, 5000 vit A, digestive enzymes with meals For...

    A little help with labs?

Ah yes, the dreaded 4 lows! And that pretty much describes how I feel. What's a good magnesium supplement? Would the magnesium bicarbonate water that's suggested on the Ray Peat forum be good or could it cause a ph imbalance? Did the HCL slow down your digestion at all?
