I don't know what I can believe anymore. So much BS in the news and everywhere. I think I am overloaded with bullshit so I literally have no ability to give any shits about all these issues. I'm just done with it. I'm not the one making technology that ruins the world. Plus 80% of this news is fake. Literally meant to control you.

Most news is garbage nowadays, but with environmental science all the dissenting opinions come from people with vested interests in preserving the fossil fuels industry. We are pumping the air full of CO2 and other pollutants that linger in the atmosphere and trap heat while at the same time cutting down large swathes of rainforest that are the biggest absorbers of CO2 on the planet.

Don't know bro. I think this whole pollution stuff is a money grab. It seems like a way to make people feel guilty and pay money for this BS.

The "news" is now used as a way to control people. When they want to evoke a certain emotion they just post that type of news and then they want other type of emotion they put that news out there. It is a way to control and steer people's behaviour.

When you are lied to so much by all this bullshit - you cannot expect people to listen to you when shit really hits the fan. It does not work like that. So I would say they can go fuck themselves. I hope the Earth won't blow up.

@RebelWithACause The news has underreported this stuff for decades because it hasn't packed that tribal emotional punch in the same way that political bs, terrorism etc has. One wouldn't squat down and breathe in the fumes from a car exhaust, we know that it'd be unhealthy, and yet these pollutants stay in our atmosphere, and most people are fine with it. People are so divorced from nature they don't see the damage.

@RebelWithACause The people who have decided to spend their life studying environmental science are not the same people as those who will lie to get a few extra clicks on their article. If you don't trust news sources (who mostly undersell the problem anyway) then you can still go to the actual scientific source material.

That is a good point but what can we do about it? I already live like a hippie. All the food industries (animal food and vegan) cause pollution and wrecking of nature as well. There seems to be no option but to go back to natural living in smaller tribes. But people don't want that. They want to be able to buy their meat, their vegetables, their soy and drive a car or travel by airplane.

@raven Yes I do think you can believe some information. I'm not saying you should be paranoid about everything. But man there is so much bullshit out there it is almost impossible to know what is true unless you see it with your own eyes/senses. And it makes me tired reading all this stuff. Like we are responsible for everyone. I am responsible for me and my family (if I had one) not for the whole world.

@RebelWithACause The solutions have to be political, individuals can't do much. We don't have to worry about necessary meat and veg industry if we fix bigger issues:
Switch to renewable energy sources. Incentivise the protection of rainforests. Continue reducing the birth rate in the developing world through birth control and improved quality of life. Tax the shit out of carbon emissions.
