Hairtest 08.11
View attachment 1155

Updated hairtest after 2 months of TEI.
View attachment 1156

K - Dropped from 30 to 3 without supplementation.
Cu - Went up 0.2. :// Maybe from stopping Potassium. Still disappointed that it didnt go down any more. In 2 Months.
Mn - Still doesnt move a bit. Despite 75mg of Manganese. =??
Fe - First time changes in Iron. Was 20mg daily.
Cr - Dropped as well. Even though the dosage of 1200mcg went up from my own 1000mcg daily.

Overall a bit disappointed.

Im noticing the drop in K. But I dont see supplementation of Potassium as the right path to have normal K levels.
Cu has to disappear so my K levels are at a normal level without 5g Potassium. IMO 5g extra K doesnt display my "real" K levels.

+++ Will add more later. Have to study the changes of this result first ;)
Do you feel slower and more stable?

You got low cobalt like me... was there any b12 in your supps?

Im starting to think that doing my own supplements was better than starting TEI supplements. At least for Progess:Sides ratio.

It just feels like TEI supplements are too harsh on the body. For someone with UC. I mean there is pretty muuch 0 binders or things that ease chelation. Not even molybdenum.

Maybe someone without UC would tolerate the chelating process with little sides like being tired, unmotivated from lowered potassium and probably low metabolism.
But with UC its like the chelation is dropping K way too much. And TEI doesnt really take UC into account nor asks for anything.

I pretty much had diarrhea for the last 2 months. And I feel anemic and tired.
Only thing that stops diarrhea is Riboflavin. And sometimes Potassium. But too much Potassium doesnt agree with me right now as it feels very acidic. Thought about changing to Potassium bicarbonate.
Made some Potassium Foot baths lately. Wondering about uptake though.
Riboflavin gives me weird stomach ache with higher doses.

@HerrFisch you either take the program or dont take it at all. They dont need to know which disease you have. Minerals tell them everything.

But you were taking electrolytes before and all kinds of other stuff. and that is why your hairtest IMO was not correct.

That high potassium is fake. May be this is why the program is not correct for the first cycle

they dont get that if you dont take 8gm of potassium. your potassium drops very low.

Why not get a re-test in 2 weeks without using supps. Not sure how much it will influence it but I think this is your best bet. Or maybe even after 1 month. Give the stomach a break and then restart.

I know that helen.
I did other hairtests when I didn’t supplement things or potassium.

This time potassium and sodium are both low. And I see how they change yhe program.
Like cutting out chromium because it loweres potassium.

Still, I think if they would know at least some more about the person doing the test , the program would be a lot easier on people.
Not saying it’s bad. But it could be better

As I’m riding the copper elimination train quite long now, I decided to add some copper in my diet. Not in Supplement form ofc.

I actually think I run pretty low on bioavailable copper with so many months on copper antagonist...

So I started to eat some 10-15g dark chocolate a day.
I know I need to get my K and other things up to actually have cu available (esp thyroid), but I don’t think those 10-15 g of chocolate do hurt.

I archived to get cu into range so I might even consider upping the chocolate. :p

Yesterday I did 500mg Resveratrol in the evening.
Had crazy anxiety, almost panic attack while watching tv in my bed. Felt like those copper dumps with high adrenaline and all.

Today metabolism really feels slowed.
250mg RES. normally did really good metabolism wise.

Taking anything estrogenic from outside the body leads to copper dumping/wasting right? And enodogenously produced estrogen has the oppisite effect (retaining copper)?

In november you wrote that you were upping copper foods (chocolate). Are you trying to chelate it again with the resveratrol? :)

Yes. Thats the idea.

Well, gastritis started. So I didnt really up the copper intake. Couldnt eat that much. And lost quite some weight. (20kg)
But my usual copper intake is ~1mg a day from food. Never changed that. And never really paid attention to it or tried to eat low copper food. Maybe I should have. dont know.

I think I chelated quite slow this past year. Cause my adrenals and metabolism are pretty low.

Idea behind upping copper food was that I know that Im lacking bioavailable copper. But how do I increase it. Thats the big "?" in Copper toxicity/deficiency/excess.

TBH I dont know where Im at right now. But I feel pretty good with Resveratrol.

Yes, I totally hear you. I had high copper and calcium on my hair-test last year so, like you, I originally also worked on decresing it. I havent retested my hair but all the symptoms have much improved. I respond really really well to sulforaphane but still dont really know why it works for me. I remember Helen mentioning sulforaphane in connection with copper but cannot remember the connection or find the post again. Maybe I am remembering wrong. So far I have been using foods, but will buy a broccoli extract supplement I think. Calcium increases along with the copper right? Maybe the sulforaphane is just helping manage the calcification from being in too slow oxidation.

good to hear ;)
funny, I started to sprout broccoli myself and I like it too.
With sprouting you easily get 100-200mg sulforaphane per serving. Imagine how much that would cost you in supplements.

Dont know why this did not occur to me! Great idea- thanks for suggesting it. I will definitely try that as well. supplements seem crazy expensive yes

I used Resveratrol now for 1,5 months. (125mg - 500mg daily)

Its crazy, but I feel really really good. Its getting better every day. (I know I often said there wont be a 1 supplement cure etc., but Resveratrol alone did soo much ). IBS is not 100% gone yet but Im finally able to do things again. And go out. Without anxiety/ adrenaline / panic attacks.
Maybe needs another round of Res later on.

But---- I have to pause Resveratrol now because of my too low hemoglobin levels. Res increases heme oxygenase, blocks iron uptake and I assume it lowers bioavailable copper big time. No available iron without copper.
I notice increased hair shedding which is probably due to low hemoglobin or iron availability.

Really curious how my hair copper levels are atm. But I guess testing now wouldnt give me accurate results.
Might be really high from chelation or really low.

Also curious if things are improving now with stopping Res and/or how things will proceed.

I’m curious too see if it sticks for you too. Hope it does bro! I am a sky hight copper and calcium on hair test as well.

I had my water tested for copper because I have copper pipes. The levels are a bit above what is recommended. 1.9mg/L (the action level is 1.3mg/L) to be honest I don’t really know what this means , but at least I know there is definitely copper in the water which I want to avoid. Won’t be drinking , wish I could stop showering too but I’ll just run the water for a few minutes before getting in , I read that could help
