So I finally got my results back:

hairtest.png

They got my age wrong though. Im 24, not sure if it matters a lot.

Some key points:

- I'm a slow oxidizer
- I'm in the exhaustion stage of stress
- My carb metabolism is screwed
- My adrenals too, not as bad though
- My analysis shows a copper disbalance
- Lowered protein synthesis
- Weak digestion
- Low on manganese, chromium, and selenium
- Lowered immune function (never really noticed this though)
- Predisposition to inflammation
- Aluminium is too high

Zinc might be highish because it's in my shampoo. I washed my hair with a different shampoo before sending it in for analysis but I'm not sure if any zinc from before was still in there.

I'm a bit worried about my super high calcium. Not sure if it means anything, but I hope not arteriosclerosis or something like that.

They didn't give me any advice on what supplements to take, just some lifestyle and diet advice. I think I need to purchase another package to actually get the supplement advice so I'll email them about that.

Any input is appreciated.

Wtf that calcium, interesting that your calcium is so high but your magnesium is low.

What dietary/lifestyle advice did they give you?

Wow that's a detailed analysis. Can't wait to see why I'm so jacked up. Your key points... were they in their synopsis or are they your analysis of the charts?

Yeah weird right? I'll post the advice they gave me when I get back to my computer.

It's their analysis. I wouldn't know where to begin just looking at the chart lol.

Oh ok cool. I thought it was them. I wanted to make sure. I'm motivated to get that test now.
Turnaround time? From ordering to it's return?

Thanks! Remarkeble that they dont give a supplement advise.
How will this now contribute to your protocol (of choice)?

Attached the mineral chart, it has the numbers you want to achieve and which minerals to use to influence them up or down.

For example you want Ca at about 40, you can use Iron, Manganese and Potassium to bring it down. Since Ca is sky high, you could be high in Cu, but bio-available is low like reported on test. (Cu toxic) You are also low in K and Mn, which means sky high Ca.

But these will affect other interaction, might be best to pay extra and get the ARL computer model that gbolduev recommends.

Thanks. Since there are so many gotchas I'm just gonna go with the ARL computer model. I'll probably have an answer from them next Monday.

High calcium means your thyroid is not working. you are low on magnesium, manganese selenium zinc etc. and you are losing calcium from your cell. Stick with ARL program.

they will be giving you calcium also since you are losing calcium from the cell, since thyroid is not working. And this causes zinc to be lost from the cell also.

This matches what I wrote about PSSD, about manganese and magnesium being serotonin receptor acceptors

Serotonin was low since metabolism was low. And after SSRI, metabolism became even lower.

As metabolism rises the serotonin reception and its levels will rise.#

Whenever you feel low on serotonin, Know your metabolism is down.

Thanks man.

I think you're dead on the money with metabolism being down even before SSRIs. Feeling sluggish and tired isn't a new thing for me, PSSD made it worse though.

I will update as soon as I hear from ARL (or the practitioner to be more precise)

Thyroid not working does not mean the actual gland is not working. This is why I am against hormones. since if you take a hormone, you start losing those parts that make the hormone in your body. Peat for some reason thinks if you give pregnenolone, you will not lose iron, of if you give thyroid if you will not lose selenium.

They can of course, as high RT3 or high TSH. but sometimes TSH can be 0.4 and you can be super hypothyroid. Since TSH is just disregulated

Yeah I read what you wrote about that earlier. If you take the end product of a pathway, you'll lose the stuff at the beginning.

I wasn't planning on messing with thyroid hormones or anything. I'm just going to do what ARL tells me to for now, and make some lifestyle changes. I'm a computer science student so I spend far too much time sitting hunched over my laptop which can't be good for metabolism at all.

What dietary/lifestyle advice did they give you?

To summarize:

- Get enough sleep (at least 7 hours a night)
- Make sure that sleep is restful
- Take time to relax
- Get enough exercise
- Avoid fast carbs
- Caloric restriction (25% of normal intake) 2 days a week
- Use keltic sea salt instead of regular salt
- Restrict coffee intake, 3 cups a day max (I'm waaaaay over that lol)
- Avoid alcohol at night because it makes sleep less restful
- Avoid soda and energy drinks
- Avoid cosmetics/deodorant with aluminium in it

Yeah definitely. I remember when I was around 16 y/o I started randomly being tired all the time. That never really went away, although it did vary. That's also around the age when I first got depressed, could be related.
