Does anyone have any experience on carb backloading?
Ive been doing it for about a week now and all im seeing are benefits from it. Im also adding about 1-2g of KCl during a carb meal so that insulin can put that k+ into the cell.

Did it all through recovery as part of the Cdnuts protocol and it’s fantastic if you have carb insensitivities. If I eat carbs at lunch I normally get sluggish, and did before PFS. With doing almost full keto until after dinner, I stay very lean and it doesn’t affect me much.

The only issue with backloading is sometimes during the mid afternoon you get some of the issues of low carb diet (bad thyroid function, running on adrenaline, etc.)

Other than that however, it’s been a fantastic diet staple for me during and after recovering.

Yea im slowly starting to get these issues so i wonder if i can add some starches or other complex carbs not to spike insulin but still have energy.
Did you do the loading period of cutting out carbs so you transition slowly to keto.

I’ve done it both ways, loading period and not - didn’t really notice a difference in results or how I felt, to be honest.

I’ve tried some complex carbs with mixed results, so your mileage may vary.
