Mine started after saw palmetto. There were a handful of times were my food just sat in my gut and my stomach would build up so much pressure it felt like someone was stabbing me with a knife. I would break out in a cold sweat from the pain. I had to make myself puke and then the pain would go away 10 to 20 minutes later. Probably should have went the hospital every time it happened lol. But I didn't want my gallbladder removed.

I couldnt eat high protien, high fat, and raw veggies. Mainly ate fruit at the time. Lost a bunch of weight. Currently I can eat whatever I want.
Oh dang that's way worse than what I have. Mine is just a mild discomfort and pressure kind of feeling.

Mine was crazy high, way above the norm, after my accutane crash. That was clearly abnormal for an 18years old boy.

The advice I got from the endocrinologist after seeing my cholesterol level?

"Stop eating salmon, nuts, and avocado."

He really only did say that. I explained in detail what happened to me, the syndrome of 5 alpha-reductase inhibitor, no libido, no nothing, alone or with a partner.

"That's performance anxiety. Please go see Doctor XY (his wife), she's an excellent sexologist that will help you recover from your performance anxiety through discussions"

That was the last time I visited a doc (though there is still incredible and helpful doctors out there with an open mind and skills, just that this story speaks volume of what kind of comedy we can go through )

What do you reckon helped you out with that situation? My food intolerances are much worse than they used to be - can't cope with fat at all now!

At the time my biggest relief came from wormwood. It would take a day or two to kick in but the pressure around my liver would go away. I ran a 40 day cycle and it left me slightly better.

Ru also helped a lot with digestion. I could tolerate more fat and protien.

The biggest thing that has helped has been tei.

That's also why I can now tolerate carbs just fine after several months of Taurine, glycine, bile acids, and TUDCA intake

Recently I could reintroduce coffee in my diet too, and that improved my liver functions even more

These liver supplements should be a must for everyone

@Nina

Not sure what your point is

Ray Peat or not, There are studies to back up the potential benefits of caffeine for liver function

Looks like most of us have fatty livers. I think this is why a lot of us do better on a low carb diet.

Let me be the odd-one out: Have always had lowish cholesterol. This varies between 2.6-3.2

This was one from march 2018.

You might find more clues in my other posts. I have many and multiple blood values but still waiting for my hair test and the gastrologist vist before I will make a log.

Cholesterol 2.6 mmol/l
high density 0.94 mmol/l
low density 1.0 mmol/l
Triglycerides 0.64 mmol/l

Same symptoms: Upper right-quadrant pain, GB/Liver region cold sweats after drinking/eating. Please note: I have not used Finasteride or Dusteride but I do have a history of accutane (read: short time on it). However, the thought of using either does cross my mind alot lately. Have used and still use high b6 and zinc but the symptoms are quite similair and as I was seeing other people with saw palmetto, I thought I would post my values too.

Note: I am back to eating low fat, high carb it seems that this gives me the least reactions. However, I still lost a total of 12kg (mostly) muscle since my chrash. I did roughly the diet same beforehand when I gained the weight. Something happened when over the summer of 2017 I encoropated some higher fat items such as yolks and whole milk and/or coffee, perhaps a little raypeatish inspired modifications. However, returning to my old diet seems not enough to reverse this. I have to admit my low fat high carb, which is a limited diet, has been something that gave me the least amount of symptoms for far longer than just the last 2 years. So there are probaly other reasons at play here.

So what crashed you? Accutane or high dose of zinc and b6?
