Friend of a friend has it from college. Just saw on Facebook, surprised I’m so late to see this as he was diagnosed in aug 2017 with stage 4 colon cancer.

Kid was a stud in college, probably most well built, athletic looking kid out of my whole graduating class. Married college sweetheart, beautiful girl. Incredible how these diseases can hit people like this. You’d think the dude was meant to live to 100 seeing him. Doesn’t make sense.

I barely know him, have probably spoken to him only a handful of times. But I feel like it’s worth it to reach out if anyone such as @Helen has any strong ideas.

Sorry to hear about your friend. I wish him a full recovery.

If I ever had a disease with a slim to none chance of survival I've already decided to wingsuit off of various mountains as much as I can. If i die I die, but i'll be flyin'

Well colon cancer is common in Japan because of white rice. An acquaintance got diabetes at 29 years old and he's like 5% bodyfat skinny! I think asians get it because they eat white rice and meat for dinner every day, which apparently puts a strain on your pancreas if you eat those at the same time. But in his case he did hard drugs which probably didn't help and every week he'd be drinking those sugary Starbucks milkshakes, not the lattes I mean the really sweet stuff with whipped cream. Are there any cures? I've had pre-diabetes symptoms for years from PFS and Lyme.

"Well colon cancer is common in Japan because of white rice" --- really skeptical of this one.

In modern Japan they eat a lot of crap now as well. Very Westernised from what I could tell when I was there. A lot of stuff like candy, fast food and PUFA. They have a place where they grill meats but they all used vegetable oils to bake it in. Even in smaller villages they had fast food restaurants.

Many Japanese do not eat a traditional Japanese diet anymore.

Lo and behold MPB and acne has also come up way more and they have a Japanese minoxidil promoted there.

Rice and red meat are the foundation of Brazilian's diet, in the whole country, everyday, religiously .. Colon cancer isn't a national concern

I didn't say rice I said white rice. Brazilians might die in their 60s from anal sex, the Japanese get colon cancer in their 90s.

Because there's more sex in the media now and more nutritious western foods like beef. More dht means more acne, more horny men, more baldness. It also means more physically developed men, if being an adult comes with baldness then so be it. Japan had a healthy population compared to the west because they were all skinny and only eating fish not meat but their go to food is white rice so they always had high rates of colon cancer. About 15 years ago they started selling Barley powders to counteract that. Barley is a cheap grain from cold climates, it has gluten but it contains a ton of fiber like 40g per small 300 calorie serving which is probably 10 times more fiber than the next best thing.

Did not get the anal sex thing, probably some low IQ xenobic joke, if it was, you don't know shit about Brazil, keep your narrow mind in your basement.
Anyway, my point is that you must not get caught in the "I've left matrix" way of thinking, as cancer is a multifaceted disease.

Japan is a very healthy society from their diet but one problem they do have is colon cancer from that white rice that is their staple food. In other countries where there are dozens of more common killers like stds and heart disease it might not even register as a concern. And countries like Brazil have much more natural resources than Japan so they had more access to fruits and vegetables which would give them fiber and nutrients. Straight white rice is what kills you, you become malnourished over time.

Please quote a study.
I assume you are saying this because white rice would be mostly absorbed in the small intestine and there would be little substrate left for the butyrate producing bacteria in the colon !

This one i can understand. If one is eating only white rice and nothing else one might get beri-beri(thiamine deficiency) but no one (except for very poor) eats ONLY white rice.

This is common knowledge from decades ago. To answer the original question, colon cancer might have come from his diet, white rice was only one example, so he should consider the complete opposite. If you had colon cancer would you start eating barley and barley powder water for its high fiber content or do you think it's too late? Wouldn't you give it a try in combination with high vitamin d and raw food to see if the body reacts positively before getting into chemotherapy or giving up.

but no one (except for very poor) eats ONLY white rice.
The Japanese were very poor from WW2 and when those people got old their bodies gave them problems. In Burma they still eat only rice in some cases.

Who are we to judge after all I swallowed finasteride that's how smart I am and I ate soy beans before that, even insects won't eat soy.

I wasn't judging. I was asking seriously. Yeah, I've done some dumb things. And I'll probably do some more.

(Not fin dumb tho)

Well then I don't know about the arsenic factor but I think sticky white rice causes colon cancer overtime if you don't have enough fiber for the same reason they tell you to eat it when you have diarrhea but some geniuses here might be able to give you a more scientific explanation.

I personally don't care I destroyed my instincts when I took fin and because I don't have them anymore I don't want to dive into science interpretations because it will only complicate my brain and pull me from common sense. I don't want to be educated. I can't handle it like I could pre-fin.
