Colonoscopy

Have had pain, and some gas in the lower left region of my abdomen for close to a year now. Would it be worth getting a colonoscopy or is it too risky? Cheers

No harm in getting doctors recommendations, I'm not aware of it being a procedure that carries much risk. Funnily enough I've had similar pains in the right hand side for at least as long. Got tested for crohns and UC last year but both came back negative, but it's not getting any better so I'm going to get further tests done.
