Combining Herbs With HCL/Digestive Enzymes

Since HCL and enzymes are known to enhance the uptake of things taken with it (specifically digestive enzymes) has anyone tried taking HCL/enzymes with their herb cycle? Any noticeable boost in terms of effectiveness?

The only other known option to enhance absorption is caffeine.

I'm currently taking both cd's herbs and betaine hcl but not during the same time. Usually betaine after meal while herbs are first thing in the morning and in the middle of the afternoon
Also, I don't have enough experience with them before adding hcl ( 2 weeks ) to see if there's any difference but that's possible, especially since many herbs, regardless hormones, are sources of minerals and vitamins and we know betaine hcl make it easier to absorb them

OK, if you end up trying them at the same time let us know if you "feel" anything different

I would be interested in the answer to this as well.....

I tried Betaine HCL for a day or two, it doesn't sit well with me at all for whatever reason. However, I always noticed that herb effects are more pronounced when my digestion is top notch. I've always had a shit digestive system, pre, during, and post PFS - so I'm probably a bad candidate in general.

Yer' forgetting Black Pepper Extract brother...Piperine.
I used to hop on to the "Bromelain theory" years ago...ditched it because the effect was marginal.
Many herbs simply don't require "enhanced" digestion...though things in some anti-inflammatory nutraceutical categories do.
Namely Curcumin.

I used to take enzymes and HCL with my herbs. When the bottles ran out I never re-upped and never noticed a difference. But that's just me. Any reason you haven't tried it yourself?

Yes piperine is good as well, never tried it with anything else besides curcumin a long time ago, could be worth trying with other herbs that impact the nervous system to see if there is a difference.

I haven't taken any CD herbs in like over 6 months, I'm on a separate protocol at the moment for the last month or so now and prior to that was experimenting with other stuff.

This thread was mainly aimed for the guys on CD's protocol and overall health, would be good to know. The best uptake for increasing the herb effectiveness from when I used to use them was caffeine (not just coffee) though, didn't experiment with too much other stuff.

Tubzy I’ve been following CDs protocal for about 4 months now, I’m going to give It till the end of this year to see what improvements I notice. I could be willing to test your theory in a month or two.

Cool man, I think me @Niles and @bruschi11 are the only ones currently on it at the moment besides @Scenes and @Raincoast who already recovered from it

has anyone ever tried papaya enzyme to treat the digestive symptoms? I started taking papaya enzyme recently as in like a month ago. It has worked very well for me. This has been the single best supp I have ever found for the digestive issued. My digestion is almost completely normal despite not being recovered and not even being extra careful with what I eat. I'm talking pasta a couple days a week. Since PFS this has been a big no no for me. Pasta completely out of the question. I am pretty pumped about the papaya.

I just got 3 different sources of curcumin to ensure quality control. All have piperin.

However, I also bought coconut oil because i read that oil is a better transporter/absorption enhancer. Was going to start taking curcumin shots as i found a recipe...

But now I read that coconut is 5ari. Hesistant to continue the curcumin therapy now with the oil.

Does oil combine well with all herbs or just tumeric/curcumin??? Ill be experimenting the oil/herb combo in a few weeks.

Setting up my gut for absorption and taking curcumin/green tea to facilitate the gene switch on/off at the moment. I dont have clarity on if curcumin/green tea will work on random genes or only specific ones...
