Most store bought/restaurant meat comes from animals that have been pumped full of antibiotics before being killed. Every time you consume meat you are also consuming bacteria, and the bacteria of animals killed in this way are ten times more likely to be antibiotic resistant than animals raised in an organic manner.
Even organic meat sold in supermarkets has been shown to contain a higher proportion of antibiotic resistant bacteria. The only safe option is to get organic, locally sourced grass fed meat. It's expensive so I am vegetarian 4 days a week now.
It probably wouldn't be much of a concern if you are healthy, but when you are not healthy these bacteria can contribute to gut and nervous system issues and as of now we don't have any way of killing them.
