WTF is this?

Dr. John Crisler used to be a big proponent against finasteride.. now he's promoting it for use as a topical, and thinks it's safe?!?

Nonsurgical Hair Loss Treatments

"This is a VERY important point: Finasteride is great for slowing, halting, even regrowing hair in some. But it should be applied directly, as a topical cream, to the affected areas on the scalp—not taken as an oral pill. When taken orally, it can negatively affect the entire body. Sometimes permanently. Fatigue, depression, and sexual dysfunction are common negative side effects from taking oral drugs of this class. Those are the side effects mentioned in the article, and were from oral use only. They are avoided by going directly to the hair roots, with a topical cream. Taking a pill to treat hair loss is like filling a tea cup in a thunderstorm."

I don't know why he's promoting that, I have read he doesn't mind topicals. But he did say in his video that I'm sure lots of us have seen: "...I have never prescribed it in my practice and never will."

Topical Spiro cream - affected me. At twice a day, libido/ e.q. wise. Once a day, fine. It also made ejaculate watery.
It definitely caused some testicular pain. It clearly goes systemic (nothing at all like Finasteride caused me however).

Also topical RU58841 affected Jacknap. Certain stimulants absorb in most mucous membranes. People (weirdos mostly) can take eye shots... drugs are absorbed and reach the blood stream and if they cross the blood brain barrier, can reach that too, regardless of route of administration. I can cite things, if necessary.

Wow that's nuts. Even topical it'll go systemic, obviously a lot less but over time, who knows. Topical is not a safe alternative.

Wow, this tells how much all these doctors know. He thinks that finasteride effects only cells on your head? LOL really ridiculous. Put some onion on your head daily and all your hair will be back , but it will stink. STill better than finasteride and with no side effects. huh but that smell. LOL
