Hi guys
Have you ever noticed some facial changes because of PFS?
I experience a bigger and wider nose, a smaller jawline,a lot of wreckles(!) and everytime Dark eye bags.
All this started with Finasterid, but became worse when I stopped it.
If somebody experienced this my biggest question is if this is reversible.
Btw i also experience an extreme penile shrinkage. Maybe people with penile shrinkage experience also facial changement.

Would like to get some informations.

Stay strong!

I definitely did experience some facial changes and so did many other fin users.
Guys who've recovered either temporarily and achieved better baselines with RU have seen their jaw sharper.
Those that recovered fully reversed their changes I'm quite sure. Most of the changes anyways.

I have fat loss underneath my eyes, increased nasolabial folds / smaller cheekbones perhaps. And I think a smaller chin.

Some had extreme changes. I know I look different, but only my best friends really notice. Some have experienced unmistakable changes unfortunately. I hope we all fix this soon. I've spoken to some people that have experienced partial and also total recoveries and they saw facial and sexual changes reverse.

I'm working towards recovery... so its not fixed yet. The sexual sides I have them too.

Manganese, copper and magnesium play a role in collagen production.

All three are baseline for me. Can one just take these minerals or will they cause inbalances? If so, in what combinations should they be taken? :)

You are feeling better on those now?

Haven’t taken them. I’m on a different protocol. If anyone with more knowledge on all of this can help me out with the above question, I would be thankful. I really want to increase my collagen.

My face looks like a junky version of Brian Cranston.

I am a horrible case of PFS in terms of physical appearance. Mental not so much.

Why not just take collagen tablets??

Previous discussions were around these dosages:

copper 4mg

manganese 15mg

zinc 20 - 30mg

magnesium 700mg

potassium 1/8 tea spoon

You may want to add creatine to your daily regiment because it'll increase the collagen directly... if you lay your hand palm down on a table and use the other hand to pinch some skin on the top/back of your hand and see how slowly, or not slowly, the pinched skin returns flat is a test of your collagen levels... creatine will increase collagen and speeding up that skin back to flat. Do the same test on an older person to see what I mean... that pinch usually sticks around...

3 to 5G a day will help and have some proven DHT benefits so it can't hurt either way

Thanks Joekool!

My skin snaps back pretty instantly. My collagen loss is only apparent in my face, it seems. It’s very, very thin. Veins are very noticable, lots of wrinkles and the slightest facial movement cracks my entire face.

I’ve screen saved your suggestion, but I’ll wait on Gbol’s protocol first, as it might interfere with his.

Until then I’ll use glycine, lycine and magnesium taurine.

Do you think collagen loss can also be the case for a bigger and wider nose?

After my fasting i will try that protocol joekool!

Thanks guys!

Why not the ghk? Glycine, lysine, histidine...possible vit c, possible copper.

That seems to be pretty much what it’s for, regeneration and anti-inflammation.

When I take a protein shake with all the amino’s in it, my face clears up a bit. Complexion is nice and dark circles seem to go away overnight. This fades away in a day or two. Taking the whey/amino’s daily doesn’t help. Somehow there needs to be several days/weeks in between before I get that reaction again.

Anyone have any clue on this? Would like this to stick, but there seems to be something that breaks up this chemistry.

Im going to do a blood test tomorrow. Is there a way to recognize my facial changes in blood? Maybe HGH or somatotropin values?

Best regards

I too experienced face fat loss, under my eyes and in the nasolabial area.
I made a lot of research on this and it's acquired local lypoatrophy.
What we all know for sure is that 5-alpha-rd-1 is expressed even in the skin.
I found that dht has something to do with adipocytes and fibroblasts.
I heard of people who, recovering from pfs, also had their face back, some others made a face fat graft or fat transfer (in italian is trapianto autologo di grasso).
the day before yesterday a guy told me he felt his fat coming back during a water fast: he interrupted the fast after one week and went back to start.

i attach some studies

there other two studies that i cannot attach cause they're too big. are called:
- The effect of minocycline on the metabolism of androgens by human oral periosteal fibrobroblasts and its inhibition by finasteride
- Focal Lipoatrophy of Face: A Rare Esthetic Complaint

Sounds interesting but in my PFS case I'm not really sure. I feel like I have gained more fat and my face looks more puffy.

ya for me my puffy face I think is cortisol related.. it seemingly comes and goes to the point that sometimes I think I'm being delusional
