Do you guys think copper peptides could cause sexual side effects for guys with PFS? Seeing as that it is a 5 alpha reductase inhibitor?

Well well well, this is interesting .
@Trump_1776 Thanks for this study

@TubZy What do you think ? :D

It mentions just copper not the entire peptide GHK-CU. Just taking copper by itself is different than taking GHK-CU as the peptide. On top of that, it mentions other minerals have 5ARi properties too like zinc, which we discussed already in the thread. So either TOO much copper or TOO much zinc is bad, they both can inhibit 5AR if used in excess. They need to be balanced. That is why the guy who had sides from excess GHK-CU supplemented zinc and his side effects went away. Plus the study doesn't factor in other aspects like a solid controlled human study would, it simply it just applying an isolated large dose of copper to human skin and measuring the enzymes. IMO, it does not concern me, excess of any one particular mineral/vitamin is bad, even B2 has 5ARi properties in high doses.

"The results showed that type I 5a-reductase was strongly inhibited by Cd, Cu, and Zn and moderately inhibited by Ni and Fe, with 50% inhibitory concentration values of 0.9, 1.9, 2.0, 169.2, and 174.3 ILM, respectively"

@TubZy Do you have any idea How much actual copper is in 1 gram of ghk-cu ? I have seen a COA for ahk-cu...with specifications of copper content 8-12%. IS this the actual copper content in it ? if so...then it's not so much copper actually ..

Thanks

So, let me understand, since on this forum is like going back to chemistry lessons and i never understood chemistry.
If i did understand well:
1. i can cure my pfs without losing my hairs...
2. ...applying copper peptide on my scalp.

Right?

I’d like to bump this thread. Zinc finger is mentioned quite a bit here. But not much lately on this.

I just had bloods and hair test showing copper extremely low. You can see my hair test on the last post of my log. Are there any co-factors we should add to this when supplementing copper?

Last year I was copper toxic haha. I think this is actually a good thing that I’m now deficient compared to that. Cuz zinc supplementation seems to hurt pfs in many. Copper seems to help.

The only one time I used copper, (very small amount) I got extremely fucked up….recovered in 2 - 3 weeks.

Were you low in copper in the blood or just the hair?

Most of these things you do will make you feel worse at first. I did not feel good on copper until way later that day I took it. It was sleep and waking up the next morning when I felt the real difference.

Just read JN’s recovery story in full on propeciahelp help. While he was recovering at near end, he had a downturn for a few weeks to come to find out he was copper deficient. First thing he noticed by taking copper was immediate sleep getting better.

Copper/zinc balance is hugeeee part of nutritional balancing.
