Workout frequency

An issue I’ve always had problems figuring out over the years is a proper workout frequency. I’ve done five days a week and six days a week, both fairly regularly during my life. I fear doing six days a week the last year or so, I may be over training. Can post my workout regimen on here if that would help anyone give some good advice on this.....

Basically, what do you all do for workout frequency and intensity? I know overtraining is horrible for health and I’m worrying that I’m putting myself at risk there.

Everyone is different pal. The intensity and duration of lifting will determine if you are overtraining. Also, how do you feel when training and after you complete your workout? Outline all your workouts here so we can take a look at your regimen. Include total time per day, sets, reps, and weight utilzed, etc.

As someone who’s worked out for years, believe me I get that. I was just curious as to what everyone was doing as far as a workout schedule goes. I’ll post my regimen and such this afternoon after work with intensity and time and reps and all that good stuff.

I don’t feel bad after my workouts, honestly.....just something I always try to keep a handle on. I have overtrained before and sort of ignorantly ignored it, and then ended up in a bad spot run down wise.

Roger that! I look forward to seeing your exercise schedule dude. I have also been training for years and easily pack on dense muscle naturally. I train 4 days per week for 1 hour each day.

My Mondays are chest days, Tuesdays arms, Wednesdays deltoids and back, and Thursdays legs and abs. Friday I try to simply do some cardio in nature close to the mountains and appreciate the landscape. Saturday and Sunday I rest and heal up muscle tissue. I am in my office now and will write out more details later. Make it a great day. 10-4
