Worried about getting wisdom teeth taken out

So, I have a dentists appointment coming up next friday to get my wisdom teeth taken out, and I'm worried about potential long term effects of anesthesia. I'm pretty sure it will only be local, but still. Do I have anything to worry about? I'm probably overly worried but still, I thought I'd check in with the knowledgeable guys on here.

They suck, but most people are totally fine after these operations. Don't let it get into your head too much, overthinking is awful for your health. The recovery will suck enough as is, so don't make it any harder on yourself.

I personally hate the X-ray more than anesthesia but this is modern medicine and it’s all we got. Just .01 cents. Good luck with the surgery tho

You'll be glad to be rid of them, I had mine removed a few years ago under a general anaesthetic.

They only get worse if you leave them, getting easily infected and can be pretty painful. I put off getting mine removed for a bit hoping they'd just come through, but after getting them taken out I just wished I'd done it sooner.

The only thing to remember after having them taken out is you will have absolute dragon breath for a couple of days after until they've healed, so avoid doing anything that involves speaking to people!

I removed mine 2 years ago, it went very well, but I bled like a pig for like 2 days
Oh and the dragon breath is real!

They should provide you with a plastic tipped syringe to fill with water and flush out the holes from food, when you’re eating again. The holes need to be kept clean and that will actually help the bad breath.

They’ll be open holes for several weeks.

I had all 4 removed many years ago when I was a teen. But it was fine. I played FF9 all day and had smoothies lol.

My wisdom teeth came through while on the TEI program. Maybe my body was lacking nutrition. For a year maybe longer my wisdom teeth were half through. They fit nicely so I do not have to remove them.

WTF!? @RebelWithACause, I guess that happens. You're wisdom teeth came in now? Mine were all there at 18. Got them all (4) removed. No sleep anasthesia. Just local.
It was super easy relative to other random injuries / hospital incidents. Of course this was a dentist, and not an emergency situation. --usually 1/10 difficult, unless like
there's cavities, things in the way, sensitive teeth or whatever. Should I have gotten it? Well teeth were good before and after. Less so with 5000 coffees and some other stuff later, but pretty good. I was pure back then mostly. Pre alcohol or I had like 10-20 drinks a year.
---Later had a crown. Also not bad but far more stressful in my opinion. (perfect teeth, no more at that point. it was still pretty good but one is inward a bit and that one had the top replaced / blackout and effexor and shitty people related).
