Hi, I have a hard time understanding the concepts of these drugs but have read thoroughly the positive results in the logs on this forum.

I am a post acccutane sufferer and from what I read Accutane = high dosage Vitamin A/Retonic Acid = lots of progesterone ( i had bloodwork while on accutane which showed high prog) = progesterone receptor desensitized?

I had low cortisol all through out the day on my saliva test

now i dont understand the whole antagonize or antagonize thing with ella and RU so does anyone have an idea which one I am? Thanks for any help, very suicidal right now

Did you have any other hormone levels tested via saliva? I've not heard of that before, but sounds like it could be quite a useful measure with receptors potentially being up/down regulated..

Saliva testing is proving to be the most reliable medium for measuring hormone levels. Hormone levels in saliva accurately represent the amount of hormone delivered to receptors in the body, unlike serum which represents hormone levels that may or may not be delivered to receptors of the body. Clinically, it is far more relevant to test the amount of hormones deliv- ered to the tissue receptors as this is a re ection of the active hormone levels of the body.

Could this not give an indication of receptors being up/down regulated?! Potentially you could see that serum tests show high DHT in someone for example, yet the saliva test would show very low levels - the conclusion being the hormone is not being properly delivered due to an issue with the receptors. If this was the case, and we could show this it would be a huge step!

Hang in there bro. Remember you had a good temporary recovery after accutane, this shows you're problems aren't caused by permanent damage. Thats a big positive. I don't understand the whole prog receptors thing fully yet or how it fits in with accutane.

I think you're best off asking Gbol.

I would say ella, but they both would technically work. Only difference is RU blocks cortisol strongly. So if you know your cortisol is insensitive too, RU may be better. But I would say try either one, ella seems to have more solid trials behind it here though so maybe try that first. Try ella for a few days it will lower prog and should help you re-sensitize. The agonize versus antagonize really doesn't matter that much when using RU or ella, they technically work for both cases. The goal is really to lower/block prog (or cortisol) so that you basically reset the condition your body was stuck in. This is why the snap back phase is important where you body starts to get sensitive again and usually you get even further benefits during this phase.

There are bunch of ella logs in the log section if you want to follow some of the protocols of what other people did. Aztec is a good one, Goose is one, a few others too can't remember off the top of my head.

Just finished an Ella trial.
I split one pill into 4 doses and took one for 3 days.

My libido/sensitivity/erections have definitely improved.
